Third Symposium on the Betty Shanks murder at Ipswich Central Library on Tuesday 8th August 2023, 6-8pm. This session was entitled "Chasing Our Past" and was organized by local Ipswich historians. It focused on Ipswich connections to Betty Shanks and her murder. The speakers were Ted Duhs and Robert Constantine. The session was chaired by James Lergessner. Space requirements limited attendance to 80 people.
Talk to Redcliffe Mixed Probus Club members at the Redcliffe Yacht Club on 4th July 2023. This featured a Powerpoint presentation by Ted Duhs entitled, "Queensland Miscarriage of Justice cases". It dealt with the proven cases of Kelvin Condren, Frank Button and Graham Stafford; as well as the 'claimed miscarriage of justice' cases of Andrew Fitzherbert and Massimo (Max) Sica. About 100 people attended.
